Nestled in Somerset near Bruton, this kitchen was created for an old school dating back nearly 300 years. The design was carefully considered to complement the heritage of the building, including its original parquet flooring.

A freestanding island sits at the heart of the room, featuring a hand-selected reclaimed elm worktop and aged brass patina handles. Bespoke cabinetry, hand-painted in buttery tones, sits alongside a Belfast sink and vintage-style tap in matching aged brass. A pantry-style storage cupboard, crafted from maple with classic Shaker detailing, provides practical storage while sitting beautifully within the space. Reclaimed timber shelving and a considered colour palette bring the whole room together.

From design through to completion, this project was a firm favourite — a timeless kitchen made for family life and built to be enjoyed for generations to come.
