I’ve been working with wood since I was 16, from building timber-frame roofs to making tables and furniture from reclaimed wood. I’ve always been fascinated by the character of wood — the grain, texture and subtle differences that make every piece unique.
Being outside and connected to nature has always been a big part of my life, so bringing that sense of the natural world into my work feels instinctive. I’ve spent the last 10 years making bespoke kitchens and furniture, alongside renovating three houses of our own. These experiences have given me a real appreciation for creating spaces that are not only beautiful, but practical and made to be lived in.
Outside the workshop, life is just as important. We have two wild children and, whenever we can, my partner and I pack up the van with surfboards and footballs and head off somewhere new.
My partner and I make a great team. I build and craft each piece, while she hand-paints our furniture with an incredible eye for detail, giving every kitchen and piece of furniture its final finish.
I take pride in making every piece with care and consideration, and in building a close relationship with each client. From the first ideas and design through to making and installation, that relationship is an integral part of creating something that feels truly right for your home.
